Using my Autumn Glow blog swap goodies...

I wanted to share my gorgeous Autumn gifts received from Sue over at Sweetpea Family (you can visit her blog here).  Here are a few of them filling little spaces in my life...

Beautiful felt flower brooch.  I always think a coat is never properly dressed without a brooch.  This is one of my favourite coats (I love it's vintage look) even thought it is years old and needs repairing every year I just can't bear to part with it!

Another pretty brooch.
On my little summer jacket - another favourite!

The felted, Fimo & crocheted acorns, knitted leaf & pumpkin and Autumn buttons (under the orange candle in the glass) really finished off my Autumn/Halloween display of witches and glasses!
A little compact ready to go into my new M&S tartan bag along with my tartan scarf - I am addicted to all things Scottish!
There were also some Docrafts Papermania Christmas in the Country die-cut toppers I will share a photo of these when I have used them on my card creations or gifts.  By the way if you haven't checked out this delightful range of papercraft products, you must!  I've fallen in love with it, I think it must be the Scottish/Scandi feel to the patterns and of course the cute reindeer images!  Oh and it reminds me of beautiful Christmas jumpers and cross stitch.  Like I said I fallen in love with this range.
Hmmmm there were also some delicious chocolate owls...erm I can't seem to find those...perhaps they've flown off!!!!
Many thanks to Sue.
Dilettante Blessings to you all!

Trips/Events: The Pumpkin Pickers

Last weekend I spent a lovely hour or so with TOH, my parents, my sister and her OH at our local pumpkin patch.  Picking a pumpkin has become something of a ritual!  I go along with no pre-conceived ideas of what type or how big I want my pumpkin to be, it's rather like picking a puppy or a kitten (or Dragon) it should pick you -  yes I believe that if Dragons (still) existed your Dragon would pick you!  Fortunately both TOH and I would drawn to the same pumpkin and fine fella he turned out to be, somewhat bigger than in previous years but just right for the design I had in mind!
It was a fairly busy day at the pumpkin patch.
Dad spots his pumpkin at 50 paces!
My sister consider her pumpkin options!

Us three girlies were also compelled to view the crafty wares on offer!

The pumpkins numbered in the 100s and somewhere amongst them was MY pumpkin!

Autumn Glow Blog Swap

A few weeks ago I agree to take part in the Autumn Glow Blog Swap on Blueberry Heart where I was partnered with Sue at Sweetpea Family.  I was delighted to received such beautiful items from her and it seems we share very similar tastes.  Sue's parcel arrived at just the right time to add a little cheer to my day.

Here are a few photos of the gifts I sent to Sue.

My note was written in the cute Autumn Teddy card - she looks very pleased with her crop of pumpkins.  Zentangle is a new craft I have just started and I used this on the tag.  Fimo is one of my favourite crafts so I made a mini pumpkin and a poppy brooch.  I stitched up the felt sleepy fox brooch which came as a free kit with my favourite magazine Molly Makes.  This last year I have started wet and needle felting so added a felted acorn and pumpkin.  Another of my favourite crafts is cross stitching and I thought this bookmark was appropriate for the time of year.  I love making 'new from old' jewellery - the handbag charm/keyring was made using pieces picked up from a boot sale and charity shop.  Like a lot of crafters I love buttons and beads - Sue sent me a bag of beautiful Autumnal buttons (I have used them in my Autumn/Halloween display) and I sent Sue a mini hand stitched bag using a piece of Halloween fabric (a fat quarter picked up in a sewing shop sale) and filled it with Autumnal beads from my stash.  As you will see from Sue's blog she very much enjoys cooking with her grandchildren so I couldn't resist the 'From Grandma's Kitchen with love' set.
Thanks Blueberry Heart for organising this and Sweetpea Family (Sue) for my beautiful parcel of gifts.
