The base card is a 5 x 5 scalloped edge card which I have embossed using Tattered Lace Love Bird Berries embossing folder.

Arielle Flora Fae is coloured using Graph It markers.  The flower gems are from my stash.
I cut the butterfly using a Woodware punch and coloured it with Graph It markers.  The antennae are pins from my stash.
The flower bouquet is made using Noor! Design flowers and Anna Marie Designs stamens, natural fiber, moss and dried flowers.
Don't forget you only have 24 hours to collect this beautiful image.

Sakura Pens & My Thyme Colouring Book 4

Today I'm sharing samples made for the My Thyme Colouring Book (Sakura) shows with Carley Duff on C&C at 9am and 6pm today.

I have used mostly the Sakura Metallic pens for these samples and just four pages of the colouring book.
Embossed with Tattered Lace Lily Spray embossing folder.

Mini scrap card, this is my Newfoundland, Fergus who is now 3 years old.

Shapes cut from two pages of the My Thyme Colouring book.

Think this is my favourite of my samples, I just love this pattern.

MDF word coloured with Sakura pen too.

Cut from one page of My Thyme Colouring Book 4.

Built up with Pinflair glue.

You might also see this one (which I made a while ago) using Souffle and Glaze Sakura pens, a piece cute from My Thyme Colouring Book 1 or 2 (I've forgotten which) and a Faery Ink Gabbie Art Nouveau digi.

Having a Hoot!

This post has a few firsts for me; it's my first use of a Hobby Art stamp (I have a small collection but I am ashamed to say that this is the first ever inking of a Hobby Art stamp!) and my first use of Distress Markers and my first time water colouring.

This was a birthday card for my sister.   She bought this Hobby Art Ornate Owls set for me for Christmas and when I opened it she scheduled in her birthday card - she is a creative spirit too so we are able to order our cards from each other!
The base card is an 8 x 8 from Keep On Crafting edged with Vintage Photo distress ink.  The strips of card are Anna Marie Designs and the linen behind the circle of kraft card is from my stash.  I have stamped the kraft card with an element from the set using the markers directly on the stamp.
I first fell in love with Tim Holtz Distress Markers when I attended a workshop by Tracy Payne from Noor! Design.  My hubby bought me the complete set for my birthday from Noor! Design.  I had struggled with skin tone at the class so I was glad my sister wanted an owl on her card, as I need a bit more practice to colour people.
I must admit I found water colouring this image very relaxing, I used an acrylic block to scribble the colours on and then used a thin brush to paint the image.  I was very pleased with how the distress markers blend too.
I coloured over the sentiment stamp with the markers and then stamped direct on to card, the background is also coloured with a distress marker.  This is mounted on the back of a linen label from a piece of clothing and the ribbon is from my stash.

The Happy Birthday tiles, dried flowers, moss, flowers, stamens and natural fibers are from Anna Marie Designs.

The paper insert is from my stash.

Faery Ink New Release - Princess of Hearts Fable

So last week I shared my inspiration using Faery Princess of Hearts Fable and today I'm sharing a project using the New Release at Faery Ink, Princess of Hearts Fable.
I have used an A5 card embossed with Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder.  I have edged it with a Graph Marker.  I fussy cut the image and used Pinflair glue to mount it.

The image is coloured using Graph It markers.  I have added flower embellishments from my stash. The hearts are punched using a Create and Craft punch (my first every purchase from C&C!) which I have coloured using a Graph It marker and then folded and glued them to the card along the spine to give them some lift.
I think a project using Princess of Hearts Fable and this new release Faery Princess of Hearts Fable would look fable-ous!  It could tell a really sweet story, similar to the Aesop fable Town Mouse and Country Mouse.

A Lelli-Bot Thank You Posy

Morning peeps!

Today I am sharing with you a card I made as a Thank You to my grandmother for her Christmas gift to us.

The image, ribbon, gem & corner are from the Lelli-bot Crafts Painted Posies.
I layered it on a die cut using Tattered Lace Essential Decorative Edge Square and added some faux stitching with a Sharpie fine point brown pen and edged it with Vintage Photo distress ink and then mounted on some card also from the kit.

DT Project - Quirky Crafts Challenge - Mid month reminder

Hello!  Gosh it's 17 January already and it's time for my second card for the Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog where the theme this month is Celebration, we must see the word Celebrate or Celebration on your project.
Our sponsor is Stitchy Bear

For this card I have used Wonderland Cake which I coloured with Wink of Stella pens and Graph It Markers.
The backing paper is from my stash and the 8x8 card is from Keep on Crafting (who I would like to congratulate on winning the British Craft Awards Silver Award for Best Independent Craft Retailer in the South East of England).  They are based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and it's a lovely Aladdin's cave, so if you are in the area do pop in.

If by chance anyone from British Craft Awards is reading this, please can you separate Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire (some would say Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire too) in to East of England instead of grouping us with South East of England, us East Angles are funny like that lol!
I printed four images, two I have used for the main focal point and decoupaged them, and the other two I flipped, hence the reason the clock and words are back to front - well it is suppose to be quirky!) and I cut out pieces to use as embellishments.

The Time to Celebrate sentiment is a freebie stamp.  I used Rich Cocoa Momento Ink and a Stampin' Up Punch.

I do hope you will join up with the Quirky Crafts Challenge and show us you Celebration projects.

Faery Ink Inspiration - Faery Princess of Hearts Fable

Today is Faery Ink Inspiration day for me and this month I am using one of the recent new releases Faery Princess of Hearts Fable.

Amanda's description for this image  "A character from Wonderland you’ve never heard of.. A little princess of hearts – with wings!"

I think Faery Princess of Hearts Fable would be hiding deep in the forest so I have built a little wooded scene.
I have embossed the 8x8 card base (from Keep on Crafting) using Tattered Lace Autumn Leaf Embossing Folder.
The Happy Birthday tiles, natural fibres, dried flowers and moss are from Anna Marie Designs.

The die cuts are made from Anna Marie Designs Kraft card and Noor! Design dies.
Faery Princess of Hearts Fable is coloured using Graph It markers.
Don't forget to take a look at the Faery Ink Blog, Shop and Facebook page too.
