Keep on Crafting Blog Makes - 16-18 August

Morning Peeps!

Time to share last week's makes for Keep on Crafting shop.

My first three were made at the Spellbinders workshop with Christine Emberson using designs from the Little Red Wagon collection.

Bear Scout - my favourite, he comes with a flag and leaf die.
Ella-fant - this one comes with a side view of the head too.
Some Bunny also comes with a side view of the body.
Thursday's make was a Christmas box card using Craft Creations Box & die-cut decoupage.

I ended the week with another Christmas card box and die-cut decoupage, this time I used the springy insert in the box too.

Gothic Lace Congratulations

Morning Crafters

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  On Saturday I attended a further Distress Oxides workshop at Keep on Crafting in Bury St Edmunds, we had great fun making lots of fabulous backgrounds and stamped images, and learnt some new techniques.  I will share the results soon.

Today I'm sharing the last of the four cards I made one afternoon using the Gothic Lace Lelli-Bot Crafts kit.  Everything is from the kit including all the embellishments.  I still have lots left over so expect some more of these in the future, hopefully you aren't bored of them yet lol!

I stitched the charm to the card.

It's time for another Land Rover card!

Morning Visitors!

I hope you had a lovely weekend.  Yesterday I picked up some crafty bargains from a bootsale and we did some light gardening.  Saturday saw me partaking in crafty adventures in the morning with Christine Emberson of Spellbinders at a Keep on Crafting workshop (I will share the cards in a few days) and then a family meal to celebrate my Brother-in-Law's birthday, which leads me nicely on to today's card.

The background is Distress Oxides; Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain, Fozziled Amber and Vintage Photo.  The postcard I bought from Ebay a while ago, I have distressed the edges and added Vintage Photo distress ink. I have a small stash of these postcards which will mostly be used on cards for my Brother-in-Law, as regular followers may remember that he loves Land Rovers.

I had used structure paste, Peeled Paint and Walnut Stain Distress Oxides with a stencil from Stamps Away.

Wishing you a lovely week.

Keep On Crafting Blog Makes 2 - 4 August

Greetings Crafters!

I hope your week is going well.  Lots of crafting planned today and a trip to the library bus this afternoon, a couple of real books and few audio books to collect, I love to listen to stories whilst I craft.

As is the norm now, today I'm sharing the makes I made for the Keep on Crafting shop blog last week.

Wednesday's card used Distress Oxides, Woodware and Paperartsy Stamps.

Thursday's card was my favourite, I loved using bubble wrap to create the background.
The stamps are Woodware and Paperartsy, can you tell these are two of my favourite stamp brands!

Finally on Friday, as promised, I made a non-Christmas card using a Christmas stamp.  I used distress oxides in Autumnal colours with the Sparkly Trees stamp from Woodware.

I hope you had a good weekend.  Mine was very busy with a craft day at Keep on Crafting on Saturday and my parents visiting on Sunday.

I'm sharing another one of the cards I made with the Lelli-bot Crafts Gothic Lace kit today.

Bonus Papers Reader DT - Quick Cards Made Easy Issue 168

Greetings Visitors!

Think I might have blinked and missed this week!  What do you have planned for the weekend?  I'm off to the free crafting day at Keep on Crafting to see Rushanne Young demonstrate some Autumn and Festive seasonal makes using Stix 2 and Woodware products amongst other things.  I'm also hoping to do some filming of some of the demos.

Today I'm sharing the card I made using the free Bonus Papers from issue 168 of Quick Cards Made Easy. At the time of writing this I haven't managed to pick up my copy yet so I don't if this made it into the magazine but I know it will be on the website and Facebook page.

The papers are a picnic theme.  I have used Kraft card for my base and a gingham sheet from the papers.  I created a pocket using the strawberry paper and a sentiment.  I then cut tags from the papers, added ribbon from my stash and made paper brads for the corners. I have added Festive Berries Distress Ink to the edges of the paper.

Keep on Crafting Shop Blog Makes 26 - 28 July

Hello Peeps!

Suddenly it's August and it's mid-week!  Thank you to those that stopped by the shop blog it is much appreciated.  If you missed them here are last week's shop makes;

Wednesday and Thursday's makes made use of the pieces I have created at the Distress Oxides class at Keep on Crafting on Saturday.
Using Dried Marigold and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxides with Woodware Butterflies and Vintage Inspiration stamps.
Using Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide, Woodware Vintage Inspiration, Butterflies and Travel stamps.

Friday's share was a self-indulgent piece.  I love using this Wheat stencil to create Lavender. I thought about cutting this piece down and turning it into card but in the end it felt more like a journal piece so I added the quote and adhered to a page in my random pieces scrapbook.
Using Imagination Crafts Wheat, Cages and Spring Birds stencils and Antique Linen, Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold, Weathered Wood, Bundled Sage, Seedless Preserve and Black Soot Distress Inks, with Zig 08 Pure Black Millenium Pen.

Gothic Lace - Best Wishes Skull

Greetings peeps!

I hope you all had a good weekend.  It's been a little while since I have used my Lelli-bot kits but the other day I wanted to put together some quick quirky cards so I got out my box of Lelli-bot kits and randomly picked one, which turned out to be the Gothic Lace.  I made a few that afternoon and will share the rest over the next week or so.

Everything is from the kit incuding the cardstock.  I have added a little Black Soot distress ink to the edges and pulled a few sequins off the strip that comes with the kit and dotted them around the card.

Pocket Watch & Petticoats

Hello Crafters

Are you looking forward to the weekend?  We have a meeting with our mortgage broker on Saturday morning but the rest of the weekend is free, it feels strange not to be going to a craft class this weekend, but I have a few booked for the coming weeks.

Today I wanted to share the Wedding card I made for the couple that own one of my favourite shops, Pocket Watch and Petticoats.  They are a vintage clothing shop based in Bury St Edmunds, there is also one in Ipswich.  I'm a big fan of vintage and have been for quite some time.  I've always had a feeling that I was born in the wrong era, I really love the feminine style and lines of 40s/50's clothing, and the hairstyles too.

I bought the Waistcoat stamp from Keep on Crafting with this card in mind, other than that I didn't really have a plan, but it made sense to make it a vintage style.  I then decided that I wanted a dress on the card too but couldn't find a stamp I liked in the right style, that was went I was struck by the idea of an origami dress. I have made these before but I needed to refresh my memory so I found this video on youtube to be the most helpful.

I used two sheets of Cocoa Blissful paper sheets inside.

Supplies Used;
Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide - Keep on Crafting
Visible Image Time After Time, Wedding Day Stamp sets
Versamark Ink Pad - Keep on Crafting
Wow White Embossing Powder - Keep on Crafting
Woodware The Waistcoat stamp set - Keep on Crafting
Watering Can Archival Ink - Keep on Crafting
White Enamel Accents - Keep on Crafting
Cocoa and Pink Blissful Paper Pads - Anna Marie Designs
Banners, Party Flags, Back In Time Pocket Watch and Small Bags - Noor! Design
White Lace - Blog Candy from Linda Simpson

There was a celebration at the shop a few days before, here is a pic from the day which I have tinkered with in Serif Craft Artist.  Shortly after this photo the couple had a dance in the street with "The Knightingales Vintage Trio" singing "Chapel of Love".

Noor! Design UK Design Team Call

Good Morning!

My heart did a little flip when I saw the DT call for Noor! Design UK.  On my list of DTs I would love to be part of, Noor! Design UK is at the top, and yes I really do have a list 😊 - half a dozen companies I absolutely adore. If you are a regular visitor to my blog you will know that Noor! dies are my favourite. I'm attracted to these dies for their unique quirkness and beautiful design. Couple this with the adorable stamps, pretty papers and gorgeous embellishments available from Noor! Design UK makes for one very happy crafter and one delighted recipient of any creation using them.

Being creative is my number one passion, I have crafted for many years but over the last three to four I have been able to dedicate more and more time to this hobby that brings me a lot of happiness.  I have some past DT experience and my position on the Creata DT was where I first fell in love with Dutch design and in particular the Noor! dies and papers.  I am not currently on any other DTs so have the time to dedicate to the 5 projects per month requirement.

Being part of a team designing samples and sharing inspiration using a product brand I love would be fabulous.  Blogging & being part of Design Teams has also been the best experience of sharing my passion with others and building friendships.  I first applied for the Noor! Design UK DT back in 2015, since then the class I attended with Tracy Payne, and the Noor! Design blog, have been a great source of learning and has certainly helped me improve my techniques around flower arranging on cards, etc and distress marker colouring.

I usually blog three times a week and post my creations on my Facebook page, Instagram account, Twitter account and Pinterest.  I also have a YouTube channel and once my editing software arrives I am looking forward to
filming some of my makes too

My project uses an MDF tag which I covered with a piece of Pion Design The Night Before Christmas - Just a Peek paper.  Next I stamped the Wild Rose Foxes in Stocking three times once on the tag using Black Archival Ink, once onto watercolour cardstock using pigment ink and clear embossing powder and once onto Pion Design The Night Before Christmas - Stockings were hung paper using Geranium Archival Ink.

I cut around the stocking and fixed this to the image on the cardstock and watercoloured the foxes with Distress Markers.  I die cut the hats from Noor! Happy Holidays Santa's Suit, flipped one and coloured them using distress markers.  I have finished the hats off with fluffy stuff (yes it really is called that and it's one of favourite products for festive makes!).

I added glossy accents to the holly berries, and have embellished the tag with Noor! Mery's Twig die cuts coloured with distress inks, cheesecloth, natural fibre and moss, dried flowers, stamens and an artificial flower.

I colouring the lace ribbon with distress ink and added a few smudges and spots of white gesso to the tag.

Now all that is left to do is cross my fingers and wish good luck to all the entrants.

Selfie Scrapbook Page

Hello peeps!

I decided to do some paper scrapbooking last week.  As some of you will know I love making digital scrapbook pages but it's been quite sometime since I made a "real" scrapbook page.

I'm sure it will come as no surprise that I have picked my favouite subject to scrapbook, my Newfoundland dog, Fergus.
I used my Craft Artist Programme to change the photos to sepia and add butterflies.
To finish I added some journaling to a kraft card tag.
