Brusho Class Part 1 at Keep on Crafting

Hello peeps!

I hope every one had a good week and has some nice plans for the weekend.  For a change we have a quiet weekend ahead, which I shall make the most of as the next few weeks up to the end of May are quite busy with final dress fittings, etc for my sister's Wedding!

Today I am sharing one of the cards I made at the brilliant Brusho workshop at Keep on Crafting.  It was a lovely inky messy morning, but gloves were provided!  Trust me, you don't want to get these on your fingers, I speak from experience. 😏  I am becoming slightly obsessed with these, every background we made I just gasped at the results. They are so versatile and the colours are amazing. You can create a full background or concentrate the colour in to an area, leave the colours bright or mop up and get a paler tone, stencil with them, die cut elements and I learnt a great technique with glaze which I will share on Monday evening (3rd April).

Supplies used;
Brusho - Leaf Green, Turquoise, Brown, Black
Sentiment stamp - Hero Arts (I think)
Stencil - Imagination Crafts
Black card - Anna Marie Designs

If you can't get to the shop in Bury St Edmunds you can order from the Keep on Crafting website or contact Mandy via the Facebook page.   These are non-affiliate links, I share the links because I love my local craft store. 💗

I will be back on Sunday with a review on my Bookshelf Blog.

By The Sea with Graphic 45

Howdy all!  I almost forgot to post this!

So I spent a whole afternoon making this card which really shouldn't have taken that long and wasn't that complicated but I think my mojo was on an extra long break!  This was for mum as a Mother's Day card, she loves G45 (find me a crafter that doesn't!) and unlike me, she is very much a Summer person so I knew it would be perfect.

Supplies Used;

By the Sea paper pad - Graphic 45
Embellishments; charms, twine, shells, pearls - August 16 Goodie Box - By the Sea - Artful Days
Faded Jeans Distress Ink - Tim Holtz
Antique Linen Distress Ink - Tim Holtz

I gave the chidren decoupage hats.

If you missed Monday's post it's here on the Digital Scrapbook blog.  I will be back here on Friday with another card. Creative Blessings.  x

Joy is ... - Dovecraft Painted Blooms

Hello Friends

Before I share today's card I wanted to say my thoughts are with those that loss their lives yesterday in the horrid events that unfolded in London.  The UK is in shock and I'm sure it has rippled out across the world.

When I cut the bird from the Dovecraft pad to make the notelet (if you missed it,click here) I realised the off cut would be ideal to frame a sentiment and this Bee Crafty stamp came straight to mind.  It is one of my favourites.

Supplies used;
Adirondack Brights Purple Twilight Ink - Ranger
Gold Pearlescent paper - Anna Marie Designs
Dovecraft Painted Blooms 8" x 8" 150 gsm cardstock pad and gems - Prize won from Trimraft
Sentiment - Bee Crafty Stamps

Wine Anyone? - Honey Doo Crafts

Hello!

I hope you've all had a pleasant week.  I managed to do quite a few jobs this week and some crafting, so it's been very productive.

As soon as I saw this stamp I knew I was going to use it to make a birthday card for one of my best friends.

I used acetate for the wine glass and tripple embossed the wine bottle and heated it from the top as I know the embossing would bubble that way and give the bottle some texture.

Sending Best Wishes - Lizzy & Rosella Crafting Together

Greetings Friends!

I stare and sigh with envy when I see some of the amazing clean and simple cards that designers produce.  Some how mine never look quite as professional as so many I see in blogland. Here is my latest CAS offering, which I'm not entirely happy with but I can't put my finger on why, can you see what might be the problem?

Supplies used;
Layering Stamps and Mini Stamps Lizzy & Rossella Crafting Together range
Frosty Pink, Coral Berry & Ruby Red - Altenew Inks
Adirondack Earthtones Lettuce & Adirondack Lights Willow - Ranger Inks
Sentiment from Country Garden Clear Stamps - Dawn Bibby Creations

The stem is creative with one of the mini stamps which looks a little like a question mark.

Birthday Wishes - Trimcraft Dovecraft Painted Blooms

Hello friends

I hope you have all had a good weekend.  We had a very relaxed time watching the rugby, enjoyed a couple of films Dr. Strange and The Room, and I managed to squeeze in some crafting and reading amongst the housework.

Last week I was one of six lucky people to win the Dovecraft Painted Blooms kit from the Trimcraft blog.  The kit contained 8 x 8 150 gsm cardstock pad with 3 pearlescent designs and 3 spot UV designs, 60 buttons, 6 sentiment toppers, 40 paper diolies, 5 printed pegs6 embellished paper clips, gems and 7 clear stamps. As there was so much I decided to share it with my mum.

Here is the first card I've made using the kit which arrived on Saturday.

Supplies used;
Dovecraft Painted Blooms - Trimcraft
Bundled Sage Distress Ink - Tim Holtz
Ultimate Metallic Pink Ink Pad - Encore! Tsukineko

Black & White - Dawn Bibby Creations

Hello and Happy Weekend!

I first started crafting after seeing Dawn Bibby on QVC (I think that's quite a common tale amongst crafters) and she has brought out some lovely products of her own.  After the upset of the The Craft Channel I was pleased to see she would be back on TV on Hochanda with her first range in a year.  I could quite happily have bought all three sets of dies and stamps along with the beautiful ribbons but I was controlled and stuck to my budget and decided on the Country Garden stamps and dies set.

First off I just had a play with the dies from white cardstock, they cut beautiful.  I was going to stash the die cuts away and come back to them later when I had a chance to colour them but then I found myself cutting into them and arranging, so I went for a black and white creation.

Supplies used;
Country Garden Flourish Die Set - Dawn Bibby Creations
Country Garden Clear Stamps - Dawn Bibby Creations
Black cardstock - Anna Marie Designs
Crocheted trim - Stash
Bows - Stash
Marianne Designs Heart Die
Clear Rock Candy Distress Stickles - Ranger

Strawberry Joy - Noor! Design (Joy! Crafts)

Hello Visitors!

As you know I have a passion for Joy! Crafts products so when I saw the One Day Special on Hochanda I decided to go for it.  The deal was 29 dies and a mini Joy! Trouvaille.
This is the first card I made using this particular die because I love strawberries, they are definitely my favourite fruit.  If you are in the UK early Spring is a good time to plant them to get that bumper crop for Summer. Lizzie's strawberry plants certainly seem to have been very fruitful!

Supplies used:
Funky foam - stash
Tim Holtz Forest Moss Distress Ink
Tim Holtz Festive Berries Distress Ink
Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink
Tim Holtz Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink
Kraft cardstock - Anna Marie Designs
Vellum - Anna Marie Designs
Bakery paper pad - Joy! Crafts
Stawberries Border die - Joy! Crafts
Images - The Old Design Shop
Stamped Image - Lizzie Strawberries Joy! Crafts
Graph It makers
Wink of Stella Pens
Gelly Roll Pens
Adhesive Red Gems - stash

Baltic Coast Memories - Digital Scrapbook Page

Greetings All!

I hope you had a good weekend.  I had a very busy Saturday; mum and I visited Keep on Crafting in Bury St Edmunds to view a Sweet Poppy Stencils demo and then I had my first cuddles with baby Blayke.  If you missed the post sharing my card I made for the new arrival you can see here.  Sunday was a nice quiet day with a little decluttering.

Today I'm sharing a digital scrapbook page which I will be entering in to the Digitally Sweet Challenges, sadly this is their last challenge.

There is much more to say about my page, as I think it's all in the journaling other than the fact I have used mostly digital elements from Art Deco Cruise and 3 of my own photos (on as the transparent background overlay).
