Birthday Blog Candy Giveaway

Hello Crafters

I have no idea where this year is going, Autumn has whizzed by and we are now heading full pelt into Winter, I absolutely adore this time of year but it just goes too fast!

The most recent project to keep me extremely busy is this Crystal Art Craft Buddy logo.  I was so pleased to be asked to do this, as of course it's a one off and will be at all the shows.  It took quite a few days over two weeks but to see the sparkle was worth it. Fortunately I had some help from my hubby on occasions and my mum and sister when they came over for Halloween.  Crystal Art are currently show casing at the NEC and you can find all their products here.

60 x 70 cm canvas, with each crystal measuring just 3mm.

Keep on Crafting Blog Makes 22nd - 24th Nov

Good Morning Peeps!

Today we are off to visit the Suffolk Wildlife Trust Lackford Lakes, as long as the weather stays dry.  Hubby is still on holiday from work so we have been out and about lots, so not much time to comment but I will catch-up next week.

These are the makes from the Keep on Crafting blog from last week all made using the backgrounds I made at the workshop.

On Wednesday I shared this mixed media card using the Pocket Watch mould from Katy Sue Designs.

Thursday's make was a project using a Hunkydory topper and some Woodware stamps.

My final make of the week was a card using a postcard from my stash and the cogs and wheel mould from Katy Sue Designs.

Don't forget you still have 2 days left to enter my blog candy giveaway.

Keep on Crafting Shop Blog Makes

Hello Peeps!

What exciting plans do you have for the weekend?  Tomorrow we are off to the Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre, it has over 300 stalls and is definitely worth a visit, we go most years but then we are lucky to be only 30 minutes from Bury St Edmunds.  It is a pretty town full of lovely shops and home to the beautiful Abbey Gardens so you can make a full day of it. If you do go, why not pop into Keep on Crafting (Out Risbygate Street) and treat yourself to some crafty goodies.  Here are a couple of my recent makes for the shop.

Quick Felt Elves

Good Morning Crafters!

Are you crafting for Christmas?  To my complete surprise I've almost finished all my Christmas cards and will posting a lot of them on Festive Friday (1st Dec).  Being ahead of myself, I decided to stitch together this year's felt kit, hubby gets me one every year, it's become a tradition.  He bought me my first one whilst I was going through my breast cancer treatment in 2013, it was nice to be able to complete some crafting but not have to riffle through my stash and I could finish quickly.

This year's kit is a set of two elves, all the pieces are cut and ready to stitch, their hair, face and clothes are cut from adhesive felt.  The kit comes with a plastic needle so it's suitable for children too.  These will go on our tree in the lounge which is full of colourful, quirky and handmade decorations.

Craft Buddy Crystal Art Motif - DT Projects

Good Morning Crafters

Today I'm sharing my most recent make for Craft Buddy Crystal Art.  These little motifs are super cute and so quick to make, and would make excellent stocking fillers.  I have already added these to my own shopping list for a friend's little girl.  You always get plenty of crystals for your project, so you have lost of spares to add to other projects.

There are a few designs to pick from, I recived the Penguin, Snowflake and Tree.

Once you have stuck your crystals on (the sheet is sticky and the crystals stick easily) just peel the motif off, the backing is clear and add to your project. They can be used on cards, tags, home decor, canvases, bags, phone cases and many more items that I probably haven't even thought of!

I used the snowflake to make a simple festive hanging decoration, using matt silver card and a Spellbinders die.

I thought the Christmas tree was crying out for snow, so I used a snowglobe card and some polar white Flower Soft to make a shaker card.  I used the left over Crystals for the card front and added a peel off sentiment.

I used the penguin to make a festive bookmark using dotty acetate from Anna Marie Designs and a tassel from Joanna Sheen - who doesn't want a cute festive bookmark right!

All quick and simple sparkly makes done in under an hour.

The Motifs will be available at the Excel over the next four days, launched on Hochanda on the 25th November and available on the website shortly thereafter.

A Weekend Full of Craft!

Good Morning Crafters

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  Mine was very crafty, on Saturday I attended a workshop with my mum at Keep on Crafting in Bury St Edmunds.  The workshop was run by Margaret and included all the materials for the class.  We made these beautiful festive house shadow boxes using Paperartsy and Starlight paints, Craft Creations papers, festive wooden pieces and charms. I'm going to add some lights to mine similar to the set Margaret used on her sample.

My festive house.
My mum's festive house.
We have many more workshops scheduled from November to March, including ones tutored by John Lockwood and Kay Carley of Paperartsy.  Click the link to book a place.

On Sunday I attended Crafting Live at Peterborough, I purchased a few bits and piece for myself and a few Christmas gifts. It was a fun day out and there were lots of "Makes and Takes" available, the ticket price was reasonable, it only cost me £3 as I bought before the event with my Create and Craft discount, parking is free, the one thing that does let it down is the cost of food.  It's a pain to carry food around with you so I choose to buy there, however choice is very limited and it's very expensive.

Here are my purchases minus the christmas gifts plus a couple freebie packs.
