Keep on Crafting Shop Blog Makes Jan 18

Good Morning Crafters!

Today I am sharing a project I made at a workshop last month and three samples I have made for the Keep on Crafting shop.

Picture frame made with Starlight paints, rice paper and stencil with archival ink.  This incorporates two of my favourite things; Peacocks and vintage style clothing.

These cards are made using the Craft Creations Water Mechanisms, image and sentiment sheets.

On this card I used a card blank and ribbon from my stash and the non-shed glitter cardstock is also from Keep on Crafting.

The background cardstock is Hunkydory from Keep on Crafting and the tassel is from Joanna Sheen.

The background for this card was made using Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and Broken China Distress Oxides (available at Keep on Crafting each for £5.99) and the twin is from my stash.

Bird Screen Folding Card

Good Morning Peeps

How was your weekend?  We continued to do jobs around the house, and on Sunday I took part in the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch and this inspired today's card.

I have used the Kanban Weston Park Bookmarks toppers from Foil Play which I adhered to black cardstock from Creative Crafting World.

I trimmed a piece of Anna Marie kraft card using the Woodware Victorian blade in my trimmer and stamped it with Sepia Archival Ink using the Woodware Old Letter stamp.

The birds are Spring Love Noor! Design dies. I used the Creative Expression Map stencil and gold Izink 3D Testure Paste from Keep on Crafting. The ribbon is from my stash.

ATC Swap Letter E

Good Morning Peeps!

I hope you are looking forward to the weekend, it's more jobs around the house for us.  This month I decided to take part in an ATC swap, the theme was the letter E.

I used the Indian Summer Hobby Art stamp and Watering Can Archival Ink.  The headress is colouring using Wink of Stella.

The lady is a sticker from The Works (I bought two packs of these ladies for a £1 each).  I cut the word elegant using Leonie Pujol Typography dies and the corner with an EK Success punch.  I cut and coloured the earth using a Spellbinders die and Prima watercolour pencils.  The sequins are from my stash.

Gorjuss Birthday

Good Morning Peeps

Sorry I have been awol but I was busy undertaking a very large crystal art canvas design team piece.  I did share it on my Facebook page but here it is if you missed it.
Anyhoo I'm back and today I'm sharing the birthday card I made for my sister, she doesn't read my blog and it was her birthday yesterday so it's ok to share.

We are both fans of the Gorjuss range, the image is one I stamped and coloured sometime last year.  With the expection of the black card stock all the papers and elements are from the Gorjuss range including the ribbon and buttons.

Good Morning Peeps!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  I was decluttering items and photographing them for Ebay and hubby ripped out the cloakroom and started plumbing in the new suite - so all in all a very productive weekend!

I've signed up to a challenge on Facebook in the Mini Marvels group called 52 Playing Cards.  The idea is to create a mixed media piece of art on a card once a week.

This is my card for week one.

You can see the process on my you tube channel, just a quick five minute video.  Please subscribe to my channel as I will be sharing more demo style videos this year.

All materials used are available from Keep on Crafting;

A Christmas Special

Greetings Peeps!

This is my last Christmas card from 2017, hurray!   This is the card I made for my hubby, a little retro and humourous.

7 x 7 card embossed with a folder borrowed from my mum's stash and coloured with Iced Spruce distress oxide.

The snowflakes are cut from Creative Crafting World matt-finish silver cardstock using a freebie die from a magazine.

The postcard was bought online with a batch of other postcards and layered onto a sheet of Noor! Designs paper.

P.S. There is a demo day at Keep on Crafting today so if you are in Bury St Edmunds do pop along and say hi.

Card-io Bauble Card - Batch Make

Good Morning Peeps!

I hope the first week of 2018 was a good one for you.  Today I am sharing my penultimate Christmas card from 2017, I hear you sigh in relief!

I batch made this card as time was getting on and I need to get them done and handed out before we went on holiday.

I have used a stencil from my stash and created 3 baubles with Moonlight White Brilliance Archival ink on to Kraft card from Annamarie Designs.

The stamps are from Card-io; Dear Deer, Christmas Branches and Festive Fun and are stamped with Jet Black Archival Ink.  I used a White Pergamano pen to add snow to the branches and some Clear Rock Candy stickles for icy patches on the baubles.

The sentiment is from Woodware Seasonal Bear stamp set from Keep on Crafting.  I used a silver Metallic Gelly Roll pen to create the strings.

Pocket Watch and Petticoats Christmas

Good Morning and Happy 2018!

I hope you all had a good night, we opted for a quiet night in this year.

Another Christmas card to share today but I promise there are only a couple more. I made this for the couple that own my favourite clothes shop, Pocket Watch and Petticoats in Bury St Edmunds.  I usually visit the shop once a month. You may remember the wedding card I made for them back in July.

It's not very easy to see from this photo but I used a gold gel pen to add the ribbons to make the watches look like baubles.  The backing paper is from Creative Crafting World's Paper Boutique Enchanted Christmas Spicy Pickle paper pad.  I stamped and embossed (Copper Papermania embossing powder) the pocket watch from Woodware Vintage Pocket Watches stamp set and the sentiment is from the Woodware Sparkly Trees set both available from Keep on Crafting.   The topper and pattern backing sheet is from My Paper Stash.  The ribbon and the gems are from my stash.
