I have to be honest I am not entirely happy with this journal page, it hasn't come together like I composed it in my head at all! Anyway I decided to share it and welcome constructive criticism.
Here is the mission brief;
The tissue is from my stash. I made marks with bubble wrap but for some reason this didn't come out very well (I think the bubble wrap had lost some of it's air as I have done this technique before and it looks great). I used Terracotta Paperartsy paint but I felt it was too bright so I knocked the whole page back a bit with some Buff Paperartsy paint which is the nearest I had to cream.
The texture is made using Seth Apter Dirty Sand Baked Texture embossing powder which I used as grounding for my focal images. The metallic splats are Sand Starlight Paint - think I must have been channeling the beach with all the 'sand'! I have used the "wander" sticker from the Tim Holtz big chat pad and completed the quote with a Kuretake ZIG 08 pen. The contrasting border is Tim Holtz Chipped Sapphire distress crayon, I also added this to the little boy's outfit and around the dog to try and tie this colour in to the whole page.
As I said I'm not happy with it and it took a lot of willpower not to bin it but I thought I may learn something from it, and a lot of courage to share it but I thought some critique might be useful.
Creative Blessings. x
