Felted Autumn Sprite

 Hello

I hope everyone is safe and well.  Today I am sharing something a little different.  This is my second fairy kit from The Makerss.  In August I made the Sunflower Fairy for my niece (photo below if you missed it) and September was the Autumn Sprite, which of course I am keeping for myself as I simply love autumn!  You can subscribe to the fairy box and plus two other boxes here The Makerss (This is not an affiliate link.)

This sprite kit comes with one toadstool but the basket and extra toadstools are from my stash, the leaves are from my crafting penpal in Holland, and the knitted pumpkin and felted acorns are from a swap a few years ago.

Anniversary card for my husband

 Hello

This is the wedding anniversary card I made my hubby, not your typical anniversary card but it fits us and our sense of humour perfectly.  My hubby and I are big fans of Deadpool and there are so many funny quotes in the movies so I adapted one and also printed an image of Deadpool off the internet.

Vogue!

 Hello

Today I am sharing a birthday card with a ton of glitter.  I have to say I am not a fan of glitter at all but this card was for a challenge in the Crafty Army with Carley group, the theme was birthday card with glitter and only loose glitter!  As part of my DT commitment I always create a card for the challenge.  I find glitter a flipping nightmare, the stuff gets everywhere and you are cleaning it up for weeks and the dog sparkles for the next month.  He doesn't take kindly to this, glitter may look okay on girl dogs but not a handsome Newfie.😆

However, that said, I have to say I am chuffed with this card.  I think this Vogue! stamp from Imala is perfect for glitter.  One the DT mentioned that the image reminds her of Cyndi Lauper, and I have to agree and I took this as my inspiration.  Cyndi definitely had her own style.  I have coloured her skin, hair and the headscarf with alcohol markers and then went in with the glitter big time.

I have mounted it on black card stock and added a Happy Birthday sentiment.  I really don't think it needs anything else with all that coloured glitter.

There is a speed video on my YouTube channel.

Birthday cards and felted Sunflower fairy for Lottie

 Hello

I hope you are all staying safe and well.  My niece turned one on Sunday, I can't believe how quickly the time has flown by!  It's been a strange year of course, with the lockdown and COVID-19 restrictions, and I have not seen her nearly as much as I would have liked but I have been sending her a card every month.  And, although it is her birthday this month, I decided to do an extra card.  We went to visit on Friday so as well as opening her gifts from us she also opened a card but I made another card for her to open on her birthday.

Supplies used:

DCWV paper paper pad - The Green Stack 70% recycled paper

Winnie The Pooh dies - A present for you and The Key to my heart

Graph It markers

Distress Markers

Woodware stamp sets  - Patchwork letters and numbers

Growing like a sunflower!

 Hello

Today's share is a card I made using a free digi stamp by All Dressed Up via the Kit and Clowder Facebook group.  This was my niece Lottie's "11-month birthday" card.  If you are a regular to my blog you will know I have been sending her a card every month, especially as she lives about two hours away and with the COVID-19 restrictions it has been very difficult to see her very much at all.😞  The last few months of her first year have certainly been odd to say the least!

All Dress up Sunflower image - freebie from Kit and Clowder Facebook Group

Autumnal Adventure Panel - Guest Designer Post - The Little Paper Tree

Hello, It’s time for my second guest designer project for The Little Paper Tree.  This time I have made an autumnal picture using my favourite stamp set from Sunshine and Bee Designs, Woodland Fox.

The Background

I cut a piece of watercolour cardstock the same size as the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Frame Panel and created a background with Tim Holtz Distress Crayons in autumnal colours and a wide flat paint brush.  To add a little more detail to the background I used Sepia Archival Ink and the leaf stamps to give the impression of leaves falling and piling up.

Stamping and Colouring

The images are stamped using Versafine Onyx Black ink and heated embossed with clear embossing powder.  I fussy cut the foxes and some of the leaves and coloured them using Kuretake Zig Clean Colour Real Brush pens.

Creating the 3D effect

The foxes, toadstools and leaves are adhered to the background with glue gel to lift them from the background.  To create the trees, I have used the largest leaf stamp from the set and used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Pen Nibs painted with Bronze Metallic Posca.  The texture of the frame is also coated with the same pen.  To finish I have used a Tim Holtz chipboard quote.

I am giving this to my niece, Lottie as her bedroom is woodland themed so I thought it would fit in nicely.
